SAG has state-of-the-art classrooms, a well-managed library, computers with internet connectivity, an auditorium and recreational spaces for activities, multi-media and music rooms, a healthy canteen, two separate boarding houses for men and women. SAG has a strict policy on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. We also have a fully functional Student Council consisting of the entire student body.
Classroom
Classrooms are enhanced with LCD projectors and screens, laptops, and sound systems for learning activities. A new three-story SAG extension building and an auditorium are in progress to accommodate more students in the future. We expect to inaugurate this building in the 2022 academic year.
SAG Kolvenbach Library
SAG maintains a library (named after Fr. Peter Hans Kolvenbach SJ, our former General) with more than 1000 volumes ranging from educational to fictional, magazines, newspapers, mini theses, a children’s section, and a collection of classical English Literature. The library has six computer terminals that have internet connectivity for study and research purposes.
Recreational spaces
There are few kiosks, seating areas in the front lawn garden, canteen, and the auditorium are available for students to relax and rest. Sports activities are organized regularly within the curriculum and as extra-curricular activities.
Computer facilities and internet connectivity
The main computer room with desktop computers is available for student use. Students are allowed to use this room for research purposes as well as writing and printing assignments.
Multimedia and Music Room
It is available for students to watch movies, listen and practice music. A variety of musical instruments are available for learning music. A good collection of movies and CD’s are also available in the Library for student use.
Canteen
The canteen is located within the campus at the entrance of the new SAG extension building, where students could buy snacks and eat their meals. The canteen is operated by a full-time canteen manager.
Boarding houses
SAG maintains two boarding houses for students who receive full scholarship. The women’s boarding house is off campus at Phaya Phyu and the men’s boarding house is at Yae Aye Kwin quarter, close to SAG. The boarding houses are managed by the office of the General Administration.
Student Council
The Student Council consists of the entire student body of the SAG Diploma Program, including those of the Academic Preparatory and Internship Programs. The Student Council exercises a sort of autonomy as a student body within the framework of its Council Constitution. The Constitution is ratified by the whole student body and approved by the management of SAG. The Student Council elects office bearers and student representatives every academic year.
Celebrations
Students joyfully celebrate all the religious, national and ethnic festivals. The Student Council organizes, manages, and leads all student activities of SAG under the Office of Student Affairs.
